Pew Internet and American Life Project has reported that the percentage of adults using social networking sites has risen dramatically in recent years.Now More than 35 percent of adults have a profile at one or more social networking sites.In 2005 only 8 percent was interested in social networking.Amanda Lenhart ,who is a Pew senior Research Specialist has noted that 75 percent of adults are 18 to 24 years old while just seven percent are older than 65 years.He said "At its core ,useof online social networks is still a phenomenon of the young".Lenhart found that 71 percent part time and 68 percent full time students have social network profileSurvey shows that Myspace ,Facebook.linkeld,yahoo and youtube are amongest the most popular social networks.Myspace user aremost likely woman,Facebook are most likely men with college degree.
